Contraindications

Massage is a work with close contact, and it is important to guard the client’s as well as the massage therapist’s well being & health.

You can always give us a call, if you should have any doubts, whether it is good to have a treatment.

Please, inform us about any issues you should be having.

If you have localized conditions such a plantar warts on your feet please, inform the massage therapist and cover them with a plaster – preferably keep the sock on the affected food.

do not come to your treatment:

When having a cough, being sick, feeling, you are getting sick

when having any rashes / skin conditions that might be contagious

– massage can still be performed over the rest of the body, in case of:

– plantar warts but you have to cover the warts and let you therapist know.

– Bruising, inflammation, pain, cuts, abrasions, sunburn, scar tissue, tenderness, oedema, allergies/skin

– Sensitivities, hernia

– Recent fractures, strains or sprains

– Major or minor surgery (within the last 18 months)

If you suffer from any of the following conditions, you should speak to your doctor first:

– Heart or circulatory conditions, high or low blood pressure

– Cancer

– Osteoporosis

– Diabetes

– Asthma

– Kidney infections/disorders OR any other ailments of the internal organs

– Nervous or psychotic conditions, epilepsy

– HIV or AIDS
